Haftahedarna is located just outside Malung in a Natura 2000 area, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. The trail leads you over glacial eskers formed during the last Ice Age and into lush pine forests with a magical atmosphere. You’ll walk alongside the Västerdalälven river and pass the impressive Kvissedeforsen rapids.
The trail is well-marked with orange signs on trees and posts. There are several rest areas with benches and fire pits, making it easy to enjoy a packed lunch or take a relaxing break. On warm summer days, the sandy riverbanks offer perfect spots for a refreshing swim.
You can choose between two loops: a shorter one for a quick nature escape, and a longer route for a more extended experience. The terrain is mostly flat, with gentle slopes in some parts, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced hikers.
