Lake Öjesjön, only 20 minutes from Malung, is one of the region’s top destinations for pike fishing. With its shallow bays, weedy flats, and deeper channels, the lake provides a perfect habitat for big northern pike and aggressive perch. It’s an ideal lake for spinning, trolling, or even fly fishing for pike.
Boat access is available from multiple points around the lake, and a boat greatly improves the chances of finding large predators. Anglers often report strong action on jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, or soft plastics, especially in late spring and early summer when pike are active after spawning.
